Tiptoes!
It is a perfect afternoon, the sun shines through the scattered clouds and a cool gust of wind splashes on my face. We decide to make the most of it and take a walk on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, a must do for anyone visiting New York city. Built in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the US. Beautiful views on each side, it is the perfect way to see the sunset over towering Manhattan skyline. The walk is just more than a mile, and as we walk over the wooden planks with swarming traffic beneath our feet, it is a beautiful sight to look above at the bridge’s unique Neo Gothic design, making a criss-cross pattern across the skyline. While in NYC, even when driving, walking or taking the subway, just the sight of this beautiful bridge brings a smile to my face. And inexplicably, like a little girl, my heart leaps with joy when the car takes a turn towards the bridge, as if just to say hello and the world is a romantic place again. Lot’s more in New York Diaries, keep reading for more.
