Here's my list of top 5 things at Niagara Falls:
1. Maid of the Mist – The name says it all, take the blue ponchos, experience a great view from the observation deck, followed by an elevator ride down and then waiting in line for the boat ride. I did observe the boat turns around while going towards the Falls so tried taking a place on the opposite side. As the boat gets closer to the Falls, the boat is sprayed with a cool mist from the falling water, and I must say it’s a beautiful experience getting so close to the Horseshoe Falls.
4. Evening lighting and Fireworks- Every evening, the Falls are lit in the colors of the rainbow. The fireworks are every Friday and Sunday in summer.
5. Walk inside the State Park along the Niagara river – Take a stroll within the beautiful State Park for more views of the river, or visit the Niagara Glen Nature Centre. You could also follow the Niagara River Recreation Trail or consider visiting the Niagara’s Great Gorge and taking a cable trolley ride over it. Walk the American Rapids Bridge in Goat Island, visit the Terrapin point and the Three-Sisters Island.
Lot’s more to come in New York diaries. Till then, have fun traveling.
